‘I thought it was very good – the opening’ (Jim Sheridan).
Emberlight were proud to be commissioned to create the introductory sequence at this year’s Irish Film and Television Awards. The sequence was designed to introduce the host for the night, Simon Delaney. The piece was to be funny and light hearted, while paying homage to some of the best Irish work, in the television and film industry, of the last decade. The piece was two minutes long and featured Simon Delaney comically ‘butting in’ on some key moments in films like The Commitments, Ryan’s Daughter, The Field, Far and Away, etc. The sequence got a great reaction from the audience with Jim Sheridan commenting on stage that he ‘thought it was very good – the opening’.
The production of the sequence required shooting footage of Simon on green screen at Ardmore Studios, which was later composited with the selected move clips. Editing, compositing and all post production work were carried out at the offices of Emberlight Ltd. in Dublin city centre. Our sincerest thanks to all involved.
