Kinect for Kids

Recently, Irish videogame news & review site Gamerillaz went along to the 'Kinect for Kids' event at the Aviva Stadium. Emberlight were happy to assist in capturing the day's activities.

Two-part documentary on Ireland's Teens - Graphics by Emberlight

An intelligible and insightful documentary, brought to us by TV3, explores the challenges of teen culture for today's tweens. This two-part documentary was originally entitled  'Ireland's Pimped Out Kids' but has been renamed "Overindulged and Overexposed; Ireland's Youngster" and  "Irish Teen Lives Exposed; Sex Drugs and Drinking".

The program examines to what extent celebrity culture, adult-style clothing, violent video games and explicit music videos, are causing the nation's children to grow up too quickly.

Intelligent and thought-provoking, one not to be missed.

The History of Arthritis

This two minute piece, on The History of Arthritis, began with a script.

Each scene was then storyboarded to outline the action step by step.

Once we and the client were happy with the action, the character sketches began... 

 

 

Each character was hand-drawn, brought into photoshop and broken apart to make moving limbs.

Using After Effects the characters were then brought to life.

Motion Graphics Freelancer Required.

Emberlight are opening the door to competent and accomplished motion graphics freelancers to call upon in the coming months.

Expertise in After Effects and is a must combined with a keen eye for aesthetics. Knowledge of 3D (preferably 3ds Max) is very desirable. Ideal candidate will be able to work with our graphics team from home.

We are currently based in Gratham St. Dublin 8.

A 'Pivotal' time for Design in Dublin.

Now that Dublin has been shortlisted for World Design Capital 2014, we wait with bated breath for the final decision, which is to be announced at the International Design Alliance Congress in Taipai on the 26th of October.
